Welcome To Industrial Technology!
Grades 9 - 12 ; 2 Periods a week for one full school year.)
The course is designed to provide students with a hands-on approach to Robotics. Each student will master basic electronics and basic input and output programing on an IBM computer. First, students will build a complex machine to aid in their understanding of mechanics systems. Second, they will produce a robot designed to compete in an in-class competition. Third, the students will learn to program inputs and outputs from a PC to manipulate the robot's movements. Student work will be displayed at the annual Video and Technology Showcase on campus. Students are encouraged to enter their designs in competition at the state level.
This course fulfills the 1/3 additional unit of the Arts requirement.
